Our Story

Serving Hawaii Since 2006

Goma Tei Ramen began at Ward Center in Honolulu in 2006 with a passion for flavorful ramen and Japanese comfort food. Since then, we have grown across Oahu while continuing to refine the dishes, ingredients, and flavors that define the Goma Tei experience.

Today, we are proud to welcome guests at Ala Moana Center, Kahala Mall, and Pearlridge Center.

Ramen Has No Boundaries

At Goma Tei, we believe ramen has no boundaries.

We draw inspiration from traditional flavors while continuing to explore new ideas and refine our recipes. From rich sesame-based broths to clear soups, fresh noodles, rice dishes, and appetizers, every dish reflects our commitment to flavor, quality, and consistency.

Our goal has remained simple: create food that we are proud to serve and that our guests look forward to enjoying again.

A Goma Tei Signature

Tan Tan Ramen

Our signature Tan Tan Ramen has become one of the dishes most closely associated with Goma Tei.

Rich, savory, and sesame-forward, each bowl brings together fresh noodles, our flavorful, mildly spicy sesame broth, char siu, and greens for a distinctive Goma Tei experience.

It is a dish that has remained at the heart of our menu as Goma Tei has grown over the years.

Fresh Noodles, Made In-House Daily

Fresh noodles are an important part of the Goma Tei experience.

Using specially formulated flour from Kagawa, Japan, we make our ramen and udon noodles in-house daily with careful attention to texture and consistency.

From preparing the dough to cutting and portioning the finished noodles, the process takes place right here at Goma Tei.
